Melvin “Bud” Huddleston, 71, of Kansas City, MO passed away March 27, 2013. Visitation will be 11am-12:30pm, followed by funeral services at 12:30pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at McGilley Antioch Chapel. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Bud was born September 21, 1941 to Jeff and Laura Huddleston. He worked for Clay County Parks and Recreation for 23 years, retired in 2000. Bud loved fishing and gardening. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Edna Ruth Norwood (Frank); Jeff Huddleston; Lewis Huddleston, and Lonnie Huddleston; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Shilling and OC Brown. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Alice; sons, David and Keith; daughter-in-law, Denise; sisters, Wanda Shilling and Inez Brown; brother, JB Huddleston (Sue); sisters-in-law, Dolly and Joyce Huddleston; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
