Melvin J. Silverman, 83, Kansas City, MO, passed away May 18, 2015. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Em’s Spotlight, 8257 Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Mr. Silverman served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked for Campbell Frazier, and Thompson Hayward where he earned Salesman of the Year. He retired from Harcros Chemicals at the age of 73.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Emily and two sisters Dorothy Hyken and Sylvia Bain. Mr. Silverman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Harriet, son Paul (Vicki), and grandson Cary.
