Michael J. Clarke, 75, passed away February 27, 2018. Visitation will be held beginning 10 a.m. on May 14, 2018 preceding Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity Catholic Parish, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS 66209. Interment at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
Mike was born in Kansas City and lived his entire life in the Kansas City area. He graduated St. Therese grade school and Rockhurst High School in 1960 where he was a running back on the Hawklets football team. He later served in the US Marine reserves until 1973. He enjoyed flying single engine airplanes and held a pilot’s license. Mike loved to sell and spent his life in various sales and promotional endeavors.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Clarke and Katherine Clarke and two siblings: Jerome Clarke and Juanita Clarke. Mike is survived by brothers Raymond Clarke, Jr. (Kathleen) and George Clarke (Vonnie); 16 nieces and nephews and their 27 children who will miss his good-natured teasing and sense of humor.
