Michael Francis Corbett, age 60 of Kansas City, MO passed away April 16, 2013 at Plaza Manor, Kansas City, MO. Michael was born October 20, 1952 in Richmond, VA to Glenn F. and Gerline (Helvey) Corbett. Michael graduated from UMKC with a Bachelor’s degree in French and Art History. He also studied at the Conservatory of Music at UMKC and played in many performances and in several churches in the Kansas City area.
Michael was survived by his siblings: Mary Joseph, Glennon P. Corbett, Elizabeth Dixon, Bridget Morris, Colleen Norwood, James Corbett, William Corbett, Teresa De Vita, Kathy McKenzie, and Kenneth Corbett, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. on Sat, April 20 at Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, KCMO with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at the Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Contributions may be made to: Redemptorist Catholic Church or to St. James Place – Food Pantry, 3936 Troost, KCMO 64110.
