I always enjoyed talking to Mike at meetings and on the phone.  He had a hearty laugh and good humor, and did indeed talk about fishing and his boat.

Mike liked his work, but not the long hours needed to get all his work completed. Wish I could have attended one of his BBQs, as he was always taking about the K.C. steaks he cooked.

Farewell my friend.

My family is extremely saddened for all of Michael's family. During these difficult times we pray that you will find comfort in knowing that Michael will forever be in God's memory. We pray that you all find comfort in the God of peace (Psalm 83:18).

Mike's kind soul, even-temper, & laugh will always be remembered along with that great smile.  It was a pleasure to work with such a man.  My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Mike, you are free, feeling no pain or sorrow this world offers but those who were blessed to be family, friends and colleagues.  We are sad and we miss you.

I am thinking of you as you cope with the loss of your love and best friend. While I grieve for the pain you and your family are experiencing,  I am also comforted to know that your many loving family members have put their arms around you and will watch over you.

While I didn't have the opportunity to work directly with Mike at BLS, I will greatly miss him.  He was so nice, it was always a pleasure to speak with him.  He could always made me smile.

Even tho we haven't worked together directly for several years, we always managed to take time to catch up, exchange a few stories and laugh.  He'll be missed in the halls of BLS.  My thoughts are with the family who will surely miss him as well.

I only spoke with Mike a few times but thought he was a nice guy.

I am going to (I already do) miss Mike.  As co-workers in different cities, we often picked up the phone to share information or just get caught up on each other's lives.  He was a generous listener, and the kind of person who would leave you feeling more encouraged after having spoken with him.  I'm grateful to have known him and worked with him.

My condolences to the family.  I grew up with Mike and his family in Eastwood Hills.  He was a great guy.  May he rest in peace.

I worked with Mike the last 10 years and knew him as a kind, gentle person who was always there for us. That is why we all loved him and will miss him terribly. Thank you Mike for everything!

I've been looking at pictures of Mike tonight, and I'm struck by his big smile and the way he looked at his wife Carolyn with deep love. My heart goes out to the whole family. 

I will miss talking with Mike about our jobs, about the news of the day and I'll even miss helping him with his computer. He was truly one of the good guys.

Hello, I am from OKC and work with DOL/BLS. Mike was the person who interviewed me for this position and had been my BC since I was hired back in 2010. I think we became friends over the years, Mike even reached out to me last year when he became ill here in OKC. I wish I could have done more for Mike, he took good care of me and I will miss his stories about his family, the lake and football. You are all in our prayers. Ricky, Eta & Alexandrea Womack

I am so sorry for your loss Teri and Jerry.

Mike was truly a great colleague. He always had a positive attitude and kept everything in perspective when circumstances seemed overwhelming. He has left very big shoes to fill and will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies go out to all of Mike's family.

Mile was not only my Supervisor, he was also my friend,. His kindness to me as I struggled with cancer was so comforting. He made is so clear that we do not work for him, but with him. He was truly a gentle-man.

Mike will be missed by his Shell Knob friends.  We are so sad that he will no be here to live in the house that he and Carolyn worked on together. We will treasure the memories of the good times!

I have only known Mike for a year, but in that time we have become good friends and colleagues.  He seemed to always have a smile on his face...
