Michael Glenn McMahon, 82, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Anthology of Olathe, Kansas. A visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:30am with a Rosary at 11:30am. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 E. 47th St, Kansas City, MO 64133, with Deacon Justin McMenamy presiding. Interment with Military Honor services will follow Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Mask are preferred on all the indoor services.
Mike was born September 24, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of William Charles and Eileen Kistler McMahon. He attended St. James Catholic School and graduated from Lillis High School in Kansas City. He served in the United States Navy, joined the Kansas City Fire Department and retired as a Captain, and spent his remaining working years driving for Botsford/Lafarge.
Mike is proceeded in death by his parents William and Eileen McMahon of Kansas City, and his sister Shirley Munsen of Atchison, Kansas. He is survived by one daughter Teresa Reiss (Terry) of Olathe, Kansas; two sons Steve McMahon (Patricia) of Blue Springs, Missouri and Al McMahon (Debbie-Dawn) of Kansas City, Missouri; their mother Irene Down of Belton, Missouri; grandchildren Amanda McMahon, Brandon McMahon, Jacob Reiss, Micaela Reiss, Shannon McMahon, Sean McMahon, and great-grandson Liam Barraza McMahon; his sisters Barbara Pilgrim, of Holt, Missouri, and Margaret McGowan, of Kansas City Missouri, and his brothers Bill McMahon, of Belton, Missouri, and Jerry McMahon (Nora), of Stockton, Mssouri.
