She was born on November 25, 1930, daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Schmitt, sister of Bob, Betty, Don, and Jim. She graduated from St. Mary's High School and retired as a Management Analyst from the Internal Revenue Service. She will be remembered for her love for her Church, her family and her Kansas Jayhawks.
She is survived by children: Greg (Lynn) Idleman (Lithia FL), Dennis Idleman (Southwick MA), Cecilia Monteil (Olathe KS), Kenneth Idleman (Wichita KS), David Idleman (Greensboro NC), Steven Idleman (Wichita KS), step children, Bill (Janet) Lennartz (Chocowinity NC), Diane (Timothy) Heger (McDonough GA), Rich Lennartz (Sandy Springs GA), and Susan Lennartz (Overland Park KS), brothers, Don and Jim Schmitt, brother in law, Bill Carmack, 29 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, especially best friend Marie Clark, who will all miss her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Robert Lennartz on July 1, 2010, sister, Betty Carmack and brother, Bob Schmitt.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House or charity of one's choice.
The family stresses the need for public mask-wearing and/or receiving vaccinations for the Corona Virus so we might protect our most vulnerable from this horrible illness.
