Mildred Robards, 93, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away January 28, 2013. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Entombment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. Robards was born October 3, 1919, daughter of Louis and Pearl (Hanners) Sparks. She loved to play bridge and golf. She was a 50-year plus member of Red Bridge United Methodist Church, serving as the Financial Secretary for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Robards, daughter Faye Riggs, son Raymond Robards, grandson Derek Granzella, and seven siblings. She was the last living of eight children. Mrs. Robards is survived by her daughter Joyce Osborne, daughter Diana McConnel (Kevin), five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and extended family.
