

After a life well lived, Mildred “Millie” Parsons, 89, Gladstone, MO, passed away December 21, 2014 at Northcare Hospice House. The Mass of Christian Burial is at 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 23rd at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Ln Dr; burial in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Millie was born November 27, 1925 in Medford, MA. She lived in the Kansas City North area since 1955. Millie retired from AT&T following 30 years of perfect attendance. She was a member of St Charles Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and took communion to the sick. Millie volunteered with Telephone Pioneers of America, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella and Crossroads Hospice, and several widow organizations. Millie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul D. Parsons, in 1998 and a daughter, Paula Parsons Arroyo, in 1990.
Survivors include a son, Stephen (Nancy) Parsons, Franklin, TN; daughter, Anita (Mark) Williams, Kearney, MO; sister, Eleanor Zajac, Oklahoma City, OK; son-in-law, Joseph Arroyo, Redondo Beach, CA; grandchildren, Anthony Arroyo, Los Angeles, CA, Jacob Parsons, Knoxville, TN, Annie (Braiden) Mallon, Leiper’s Fork, TN, and Amy Arroyo, Encinitas, CA; and great grandchildren, Millie, Emmitt and Lorelei Mallon, Leiper’s Fork, TN.
