Nadine J. Eckstein

Nadine Johanna Eckstein, 91, of Independence, MO died Tues., September 9, 2014. Visitation held from 6-8pm on Fri., Sept. 12th at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church (10010 E. 40 HWY, Indep., MO) with rosary beginning at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial held at the church Sat. at 10am. Entombment following in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.

Nadine was born October 16, 1922 in Glasgow, MO to Lawrence & Argania Himmelberg. In 1941 Nadine met the love of her life, William ‘Bill’ Charles Eckstein, while working in Washington D.C. They were married on June 22, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North KC. Nadine loved to share stories of her travels & crafts. She was actively involved for 66 years at Nativity Parish; belonging to the Altar Society as well as the K of C Auxiliary.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents & three siblings and is survived by her husband, Bill; four children, Laurence (Lori) Eckstein, Brenda (Roy) Conrardy, Claudia Scanlon & Tom Eckstein; 11 grandchildren & 24 great grandchildren.
