Nage, to your lovely family, we were so stunned to hear of your passing from this world today. We are so sorry that you've passed, but rejoice in the knowledge that you'll forever be with God.

I will be forever grateful for your friendship and comraderie while we worked together and enjoyed our various tales of West Point life.  You were a shining example to all of us who sought to exemplify "Duty, Honor, Country." You truly walked the walk Brother."

Our family was so shocked to hear that Nage had passed. Since our kids have grown up we hadn't seen each other often. Occasionally we'd run into each other at Einstein Brothers or some similar place and Nage's booming voice would call out my name. I wouldn't have to turn around to know who it was, no matter how long it had been since we last met. His voice was unmistakable. The first topic of conversation was always his family. He was so proud of all of you. It was easy to see how much he loved you by the way he would beam as he brought me up to date.  Never before have I met such a wonderful and humble man. I will miss hearing that voice behind me. He was one of a kind.

Coach Damas inspired me to continue to wrestle when I wanted to quit as a high school freshman. His influence helped me select my schooling and profession and every day that I get to coach the next generation of Army wrestlers I try to live up to the example he set. Thank you for everything Coach Damas.

My deepest sympathy to the Damas family. Nage was the assistant coach at Rockhurst High school when we first meet. Not only did we love the sport of wrestling but there was even a stronger bond ,we were both of Lebanese decent. I will always remember Nage ,not only for his devotion to the sport we both love, but the sincere care and love for the young men he chose to coach. Thank you Nage for being a part of my life, rest in peace my friend.

I will never forget Nage-- his wonderful laugh, his great handshake and his devotion to family. Because of the strength of his spirit, I am confident that Fred, Kerry, Colin, Alya, Micaela and Tiernan will continue to feel his love, guidance and protection for the rest of their lives. "Though the Voice is Quiet, The Spirit Takes Flight"....

Nage was larger than life.  I will cherish our memories of him.  Even through  my tears - he brings a smile to my face.  I will drink dark rich fully caffeinated coffee at night and toast him.

To The Damas Family,
I had the honor to meet Nage when he coached wrestling at Rockhurst High School.  I could see how cared about his wrestlers ever time they took the mat. He pushed them to be better every match.  I saw him pull guys aside to talk to them not just about wrestling but about being better in life.  I know he will be missed by the many who loved him and knew him. Good job Coach Damas!
At time like this I like to recall the Irish Blessing "May God hold him in the palm of his hand until you meet again..."
