Mrs. Naomi Irene (Padley) Long, 97, passed away at her home on December 16, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 10:0 a.m. at Friday, December 19, at the Belton Christian Church, 409 Airway Lanen. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri.
Naomi was born on the Padley family farm on August 15, 1917, in Butler, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Philip M. Long; mother, Mary Leslie (Padley); father, Elbert Jess Padley; sisters Edna Taylor and Helen Padley; brother, Ronald Padley; daughter, Michale A. Kelley; and grandson, Timothy A. Duncan.
She leaves three daughters, Phylis Bockelman, Pflugerville, Texas; Linda Duncan-Geer (Thom), Raymore, Missouri.; Christine Peak (Terry), Kansas City, Missouri.; son, Philip A. Long (Jan), Raymore, Missouri.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Belton Christian Church, Belton, Missouri; Breast Cancer Research; Duncan Family Scholarship, Rockhurst University; and Kansas City Hospice.
