He leaves his wife Vicki (Sudja) Russell; his sons, Mike Russell of Overland Park, KS; Steve Russell and wife Dawn of Arvada, CO; John Russell and wife Meredith of Norfolk, VA; his daugther, Erin (Russell) Hall and husband Bryan of Kansas City, MO; his brothers, Jim Russell, Joe Russell; his sister, Annie Somerville; and 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Noel F. and Gertrude C. (McLaughlin) Russell; and infant son, Jeffery.
In his early years, Mr. Russell attended Loyola University in Chicago before starting his family with his first wife, Patricia, and becoming a sales representitive for General Heating and Cooling. He met his love of 37 years, Vicki, after a morning tennis match celebrating a friend's anniversary. He always said it was true love because she was able to get them champagne at 8 in the morning with breakfast. Throughout the years he served in various supervisory capacities in the commerical construction industry.
Mr. Russell focused less on his career accomplishments and claimed his proudest moments to be the birth of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a boy scout leader for many years. He volunteered his time and knowledge after retirement to the expansion of the North Kansas City Hospital. He was respected and loved by many people.
Noel was an avid jokester and entertainer. As a young man, he enjoyed skiing and poker with his sons and friends. Later in life, his interests included lawncare, bird watching, and opera.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23rd at McGilley Antioch Chapel with a gathering immediately to follow at 344 NW Woodland Rd. Riverside, Mo. 64150
