She was born January 2, 1935 to Art and Hazel Krueger. She grew up in Independence, Missouri and graduated from Northeast High School, KCMO. She enjoyed spending weekends at their home at the Lake of the Ozarks where they spent 12 https://admin.mem.com/sso/newde/9318605#contententry/condolencesyears after retiring.
Norma also enjoyed many forms of crafting such as crocheting, oil painting and collecting angels. She was an avid reader and sports-fan, supporting the Royals and Chiefs, and enjoyed bowling (live and virtual), the weekly game night with family (usually SkipBo after eating out) and, just like her father…fishing.
She developed life-long friendships with neighbors, sorority sisters, her church family and those who crossed her path along life’s way. She smiled easily, laughed heartily and was a loving mother and wife.
She served her Lord as a charter member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Westlake Christian Church (Laurie MO) and as a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband Gale, a childhood neighbor, they were soon sweethearts who were married 63 years. A daughter Cathy/CJ (spouse Rachel). A son Russ (spouse Catherine). Three grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan (spouse Somer) and Caleb (spouse Katie) Boydston and one great-grand child (Andrew) in addition to several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
For those desiring to honor Norma in lieu of flowers, a donation to Trinity Presbyterian Memorial Fund is suggested (contact Church for more information). https://www.trinityofindependence.org/ 1400 W. Sheley Rd., Independence Missouri 64052. Phone 816-252-5893
