Norma Marie Knuffke Trahan, 78, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away May 15, 2013 at home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at St. Peters Catholic Church, 6415 Holmes Road. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Norma was born December 25, 1934 in Barnston, Nebraska. She was married to the love of her life, Warren, for 27 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish for nearly 40 years. Norma was a devoted wife, loving mother and a treasured friend to many. She believed in doing small acts of kindness and paying it forward. She lived her life in this way and in this process touched many hearts.
After her long brave battle with breast cancer she finally has returned to the loving arms of her husband Warren Cyprien Trahan. She was also preceded in death by her brother James Knuffke. Norma is survived by her son Joseph Trahan, daughter-in-law Carly Hudson; daughter Laura Trahan Smith, son-in-law Kevin Smith; her four grandchildren London Trahan, Warren, Lily and Danielle Smith; extended family and friends.
