Olivia was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on June 27, 1947. She attended and graduated from Lincoln Laboratory High School in 1965. She had also completed two years at Lincoln University also located in Jefferson City. She loved coming back home for Lincoln Homecoming celebrations to see her beloved family and friends.
While in Jefferson City, Olivia worked for the Missouri State Department of Treasury for two State Treasures as a Clerk. She also worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Blue Hills Association in Kansas City. Outside of work, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Olivia was also a great caregiver and homemaker. She always had a friendly ear for many, was wise counsel who gave the best advice, and was a great listener.
Olivia went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2020 at John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents E’Thelbert Smith and Dorothy (Reynolds) Smith, her brother Clarence Smith and her sister Betty M. Littlejohn (Ray Littlejohn) . She is survived by her husband of 46 years Glenn B. Smith, Sr., and children: Glenn “Brad” Smith, Jr., Kimberly M. Carson, Darryn V. Smith, son-in-law Andre Carson, two beautiful grandchildren Tatum Carson and Gianna Carson, brothers William Smith, sister-in-law Karen Smith, Melvin Smith, and Howard Smith, and a host of other loved relatives.
