Opal Geraldine Roberts, 95, passed away May 24, 2016. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 27 at the funeral home with burial following in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.. Opal was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grain Valley. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Roberts; a son, Monty L. Roberts; a grandson, Michael Roberts; a great grandson and great granddaughter, Dillon and Micayla Roberts; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her sons and their wives, James E. and Jan and Douglas A. and Christine; a daughter in law, Marcia Roberts; a sister Thomasena Skaggs; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
