Patsy was born on August 16, 1945 in Senath, Missouri to John and Louise Martin. Patsy had an active childhood, filled with her siblings, Eddie, Shirley, Carol, Johnny, and Tony. As a family they farmed, share-cropped, went to school, and helped neighbors when the harvest was ready. They were in fact, mid-century cotton pickers.
In 1961, Patsy married Udell McElvoy and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where they both pursued careers within manufacturing industries. The couple welcomed a son, Kevin U. McElvoy in 1963, and a daughter Kimberly (McElvoy) DeGeorge in 1967. After many struggles the couple divorced in 1971. In 1972, Patsy started dating Richard Woodside. Richard had two daughters of his own, Tina and Becky. Patsy and Richard married on February 24, 1973 in a small ceremony surrounded by family and friends. The new extended family happily welcomed a new daughter, Kelly (Woodside) Rose in the summer of 1976.
Patsy pursued many hobbies over her lifetime. She was a league bowler and an excellent pitcher for the company softball team. She was a good cook/baker, and took pride in her home. She worked many career paths from farming as a child, to Ford Cafeteria worker, making dog food bags, to inspecting the small parts that comprise nuclear weapon systems, helping to provide for our nation's defense.
In her later years, Patsy dedicated herself to her husband, Richard; her son and daughters, and the subsequent grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With many lake boat rides, and tons of fishing, and many cool nights on the porch, just being together.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Her son Kevin McElvoy passed away in 2002, and her grandson, C. Samuel Montgomery passed away in 1991.
Patsy is survived by Kelly Rose and Jonathan Schneider, daughter and partner. Their combined children include Cody Murphy, Matthew Rose, Austin Rose, Jayce Rose, Kathleen Schneider, Lorelei Schneider, Gabriella Schneider, and Mason Schneider. Within this branch, Patsy has two great-grandchildren, Cora and Kayden Murphy.

And Patsy's great-grandchildren Annabella, Chloe, Keaton, Blair, and Clyde.
