Patricia L. Fairchild, 87, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away on June 28th, 2015. Memorial service will be on Friday, July 10th, 11:00 a.m., at Mount Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10th, at Claridge Hall, 8101 Mission Road from 1:00-3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Pat was born on November 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She was a founding member of the Johnson County Young Matrons, where she was also a past president. She was also President of the Shawnee Mission Hospital Auxiliary and the Children’s Cardiac Auxiliary. She graduated from Paseo High School and attended North Western University in Chicago. She had a fiery personality and lived her life to the fullest. She traveled the world and spent most of her winters in Florida. She could be anywhere in the world and always ran into someone she knew.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert C. Fairchild. She leaves four children, Rex Hartman (Carla) of Houston, TX, Dan Hartman (Robyn) of Overland Park, KS, Robert Fairchild (Marty) of Lawrence, KS and Nancy Vincent (Drex) of San Angelo, TX, ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
