Patricia L. Garcia

Patricia Louise Garcia, 79 of Kansas City, MO died Saturday, December 7, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1310 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am, when the rosary will be prayed. Burial will be in the Forest Hill/Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Patricia was born March 17, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Vestal and Lena (Scharig) Carneal, who preceded Patricia in death. She was a lifelong Kansas City resident and a graduate of Redemptorist High School. As a homemaker, she had the most important job in the world, raising her six children.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded by her husband, Guadalupe Garcia in 1991; son, Robert "Bobby" Garcia in 1992; brother, Thomas Carneal; niece Shannon Ruff and granddaughter Angelica Garcia. Patricia is survived by five children, Genny Garcia, Angela Garcia, Henry Garcia (Rose), Maria Garcia and Paul Garcia (Rhonda); two siblings, Karen Woodworth and James V. Carneal, Sr.; sister-in-law, Sharon Carneal; six grandchildren, Nicholas Garcia, Brandon Garcia, Autumn Garcia, Brianna Garcia, Vanessa Garcia and Julian Garcia; eight great grandchildren, Riley, Reece, Braydon, Lucas, Charlotte, Liam, Brielle and Lilith and many nieces and nephews.
