The Johnny Maddox offers our deepest sympathy to Ronald Harland and children. Pat was a  “quiet and loving person, who loved the Lord.  She was special to many, always willing and concerned. She was a blessed person that would help out wherever she was needed whether with her husband or sons, church or Sumner High School Alumni Association. She loved her husband and children dearly and was happy being with them, helping them out. She was so proud of her husband and children and their accomplishments.  To the family remember the great times you had together. May the thoughts and prayers of our family bring some relief to you during this difficult time.

Sis, My heart is surely saddened this day. I look back on the many fond memories of you and I as young children growing up in Kansas City and the numerous mischiefs we would get into. I cherish the days we spent on the farm with grandpa and aunt Ottilew. I remember when you and Anita and I got into trouble over the clean cloths on the cloths line, but we had fun. I will always remember Pat's kindness and dedication.  Pat and I met when we worked in the Coin Department at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
We both had the same job position but worked for different Manager's.  She was always helpful and so much fun to be around.

Heaven just got a special angel, you will be missed.

My most memorable memories of Pat has been during her time as a gifted Sunday school teacher in the children’s department and in Vacation Bible School at Third Street Church of God! She was very creative in the area of crafts and her students loved her! Along with her amazing smile and engaging personality, her children knew when she meant business! I felt and appreciated and admired her as a friend, sister in Christ, and a worker for the Lord! She reminded me of the qualities of a woman in proverbs 31.

Few words can convey what I felt when I learned that Pat had passed. No matter how sincere or heartfelt can provide comfort as only got 10. Pat was a lady of dignity and Grace, well respected and someone to be admired and honored. Pat, I'm glad that you are no longer suffering 
Ron, I know you the loss of your other half is a loss that many may not understand. I pray that God will comfort you in your sadness as I know you will always keep her memory alive by recording the good times. Ronnie and Eric there is nothing like the loss of a mother. Remember the good times, the legacy that she kept behind, the things that she taught you and made those things guide you and help provide the peace that passes all human beings understanding. My heart is with you all.

I  met Patricia and Ron about 20 years ago. We attended the same church; my daughter was about 6 years old at the time. Pat (as she was known to me) had an instant infectious spirit that made you want to be friends with her. She always supported me and my daughter with kind words, fun anecdotes, and generosity. There were many times of fellowship, small group activities, book club and one on one time. She was a role model and a mentor. Pat was the type of person that once she befriended you, that was for keeps. I learned that when we discovered that we both knew a lady that I worked with ( Charlotte) who was an elementary friend of hers. What a legacy that speaks to Pat’s long lasting friendships. She will be missed. Ron, please know that you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. Rita Thompson

Pat was more like a big sister to me and to my husband. She was our wedding coordinator! Our first child Keyia was born on her birthday which I feel was the Lord’s way of bonding us together! We knew then that Pat would always have a unique place in lives. We may not have stayed in touch as often as I would have liked, but just know that she will always have a special place in our hearts!

But most all Your  dear daughter. Lord I know she is up praising You. The reason I am asking You for us to get through this moment is because we loved her so much and it hurts so much. I remember  Aunt Pat always  being  nice to me as a child. I loved everything  about  her. She would  always  tell me, you'll  be an amazing  woman  when you grow up. I held onto those words all my life.. I'll  miss you forever  and always . Love Rakeisha ❤️

There are so so many awesome memories of this LADY that I can’t share just one💔 You were ONE of a kind. Losing mothers like YOU is never ever easy. I pray for comfort and peace over your family during these difficult times.❤️

My condolences to the Harland Family. I will always remember how Sister Harland would always allow me to come into her Sunday School Class at Third Street Church Of God even though I was too young to be there. I will miss her smile and hugs.

I am so very thankful to God for the precious gift of Pat to my life.  At first meeting, I was intimidated by those cool grey eyes and unflappable composure.  I soon learned she was completely sold out to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that she was all heart, compassion, and intelligence.  I wish I had known we would only have three decades of friendship.  I don't know what I would have done differently.  I just know I miss her dearly.
