On May 24th, 1941 our Patricia Ruth Stone “Pat” was born in Sedalia, Missouri to Laverna Josephine Cummings and Francis Phillip Seifner. Pat went to school and church at Sacred Heart and continued to be a devout Catholic throughout her life. Once married she moved to Jennings Road in Independence, Missouri where she created a loving home that lasted her and her four children until her final days. Pat’s neighbors became a community that continued to love and embrace her and her family to this day. Pat was a long time employee of Bank of Independence, where she would later humbly brag about serving Harry and Bess Truman. After retiring in 2002 from Bank of America, she took up becoming each of her grandkid’s “biggest fan”. She attended sports games and academic events that became her passion. Pat loved to travel and was always up for any adventure. She wore many hats but Pat’s crowning achievement will always be that of a mother and a grandmother. There aren’t enough words to express what a gift she was to this world and how she selflessly provided a guiding light and fervent love to us all. She was the bravest person we ever met and she proved that by always doing her crosswords in ball point pen.
Pat is survived by her four children and their spouses: Kimberly and Curtiss Vickers, Shawna and Zachary Pemberton, James and Darla Stone, Heather and Lance Milliren, her grandchildren: Ryan Vickers, Tabatha Bryan, Justin Vickers, Taylor Vickers, Bailey Pemberton, Chris Price, Nicholas Stone, Caden Stone, McKenna Heegan, Garret Pemberton, Landon Heegan, Truman Diebold, Benton Diebold and Gabrielle Pemberton, her great grandchildren: Macie Rae Vickers, Logann Bryan, Easton Vickers and Kinley Bryan.
