Patricia (Pat) J. Veit, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, (3736 Lee’s Summit Rd. Independence, MO 64055). Rosary service will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by The Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church or Kansas City Hospice House.
Pat was born June 24, 1929 in Abilene, KS to Myrtle Ferguson. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles “Lefty” Veit, daughter Karen Glor and son-in-law Wade Glor, and daughter Wanda Sanford.
She is survived by her son David Veit and Gina Gregg of Pleasant Hill, MO; daughter Debbie Miller and husband Fred Miller Jr. of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many special extended family members.
