Patricia Waechter

Patricia Waechter, 81, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo., with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at McGilley State Line Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.

Pat was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Kansas City. She graduated from Redemptorist High School. She was an exceptional seamstress and an avid reader. She volunteered for Little Sisters of the Poor, where she gained a love for painting ceramics. Pat was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active parishioner and faithful member of each church she attended throughout her life. Pat lived a simple life and loved to take care of her family.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Waechter; and their four infant children; parents, Mike and Mary Sullivan; her sister, Catherine Regan. She is survived by her sister, Mary Herrington; by her sons, Christopher Waechter and wife Danice of Kansas City, Jeff Waechter and Bernadette of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Amy, Rebecca, Alexandra, A.J., and four great-grandchildren.
