Patricia Ann Zumwalt passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Zumwalt, and three of her sons, John K. Zumwalt, Steven Zumwalt, and Douglas Zumwalt. She was also preceded in death by her lifelong best friend, Jaqueline (Bengston) Thurston.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Fe Zumwalt, her son, Scott Zumwalt, her daughter-in-law, Edith Zumwalt, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Patricia was baptized in the obedience of faith in Christ on April 21, 1946. She was an Athena Literary Award recipient in High School. She retired from employment with the State of Missouri.
Arrangements are being handled by McGilley & Sheil, 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. All are welcome to a viewing on Saturday, March 14th from 10am - 11am, service of remembrance 11am - 12pm followed by a short gravesite ceremony at 1:30pm at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS.
