Patty Jo Scarlett, age 86 of Kansas City, MO passed away on March 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 3, 1933 in Springfield, MO,the daughter of Bert T. and Mildred J.(Stubblefield) Craig. She married James L. Scarlett on May 30, 1952 in Springfield, MO. They had three children: Craig, John and Lynda.
She had a career with the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City for many years and retired as a Director. She had an orderly life with routines and schedules. She was very giving of herself to family and friends. She enjoyed watching CNN, Kansas City Chiefs football, doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She made everyone who came in contact with her feel special. As of lately, her rides with her husband Jim at the wheel have been the highlight of her life, and a daily routine. She was a member and past Deacon at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church in Raytown, MO. She's known to be very energetic and the best woman around.
She is survived by: her Husband Jim, two sons: John Scarlett of Kansas City, MO and Craig (Wife: Janene) Scarlett of Lincoln, MO, Brother: Robert (Wife: Judy) Craig of Willard, MO, Sister in law Billye Craig of Springfield, MO, Nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lynda Lee (Husband: Russ) Schnell, brother Dan Craig, and her sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Ronald Hall.
