Paul N. Penechar, 83, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 14, 11:15 a.m., in Mt. Moriah South Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, on Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.
Paul was born May 20, 1927, in Kansas City, MO, to Paul and Rose Penechar. He was inducted into the Army August 21, 1945, and on January 11, 1947, was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 48th Field Artillery Battalion. After serving our country, he was employed by the Federal Government until his retirement.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Daphne; brother, S.J. Penechar (Mary Frances); nieces, Catherine Penechar and Amy Penechar (Jon Boyden). Special thanks to Mary and Art Spencer, LeeAnn and Bob Beard, and the staff at Kansas City Hospice House.
