Pauline was born in New Orleans but spent most of her life in the Kansas City area. She married George Baker who passed away during the Battle of the Bulge, WWII. She then met the love of her life, Wilburn Gove, to whom she was married for 45 years until his death on June 23, 1988. Many years later Pauline met Mike Russo who became her constant companion. Pauline was a care giver. Be it a relative or a friend next door, she made certain that she provided whatever care was needed for however long.
She was a fabulous cook who spent many hours preparing all of her Italian dishes and desserts. Holidays were always special with her elaborate display of homemade goodies. Pauline continued that love of cooking with her involvement In the St. Joseph Table at several different churches. She was always there to lend a hand and her knowledge of baking.
Pauline was also a salesperson. She definitely had the knack, be it at a clothing store or a garage sale, if she was involved, a sale would be made. Pauline focused a lot of her activities around her church but she also loved to play cards with her friends and family. Pauline was loved by many.
She leaves behind those she deeply loved and dedicated her life to: children John, Steve and Pam; grandchildren Paula, Stacey, Heather, Nick, Natalie and Sam and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by the previously mentioned men in her life as well as her granddaughter Lisa, her parents, and sister.
Mom, Nonnie, Memaw may you Rest In Peace, feel the grace of God and live forever in the hearts of those you have touched. We love you.
