Pauline Marie Staiger was born May 29, 1920 in Hastings, Minnesota and passed awayn November 10, 2011 surrounded by her two passions - her children and music. She served in World War II in the United States Navy's WAVES. Pauline later met and married United States Air Force Pilot John F. Staiger in 1950. After numerous military moves the family moved to Kansas City in 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ann (Schweich) Schmitz, her husband John Staiger and three siblings Joe Schmitz, Betty Klaus and Barbara Hunt. She is survived by her siblings Beverly Mulligan, Patricia Hruska, Jackie Flint and Kay Tuftland; her children Shari, Kathy (Matt), Susie (Steve), John (Barbara), Patti and Gary; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and six four legged grand-children. Visitation will be held from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m, Tuesday, November 15th followed by a Memorial service at 1:00 p.m at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64155. Family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to American Cancer Society, Kansas City Metro Office, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64105. Mom, we will miss you every day.
