

Peggy was born August 8, 1935 in Kansas City to William and Hazel Khun (Oskins). Peggy had one brother and one sister. She was a devoted homemaker. Peggy enjoyed reading, traveling, camping (with family & friends). Peggy and Jim enjoyed going on trial rides with Norma and Don in south Missouri. She loved painting-ceramics with her long-time friend Nancy. Peggy was a skilled seamstress making quits and outfits for everyone. She shared the fun in sewing with her daughter Lisa. Peggy appreciated the beauty of nature - bird watching (had to move to the farm to find more.) Having a vegetable garden was key to having a busy summer, canning with Jimmie. Winter months was devoted to watching sports football and baseball.
You could always find Peggy in the kitchen anxiously wanting to try a new recipe or just cooking with family and friends for everyone. Flower arrangements was a skill Peggy had and shared with others (for all sorts of events). She always loved to run (in her younger years). Bama always told her grandchildren she was the “Sweetest Person” they would ever meet.
Peggy was a member of the Spring Valley Baptist Church as well as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and was always involved in many Church functions. Bama was always teaching the word of God to her grandchildren.
Peggy married Jimmie L. Holden, Sr. on October 16, 1953. Together they had one son Jimmie Jr and one daughter Lisa. Peggy wis survived by her son Jimmie L. Holden, Jr. (Becky) both of Belton, MO, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her precious dog “Bear”.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jimmie L. Holden. Sr., daughter Lisa Christiansen (Holden), son-in law Martin Christiansen, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother, 1 sister, and her parents. We can’t forget her beloved dog “Bow”.
