Peggy N. Hollingsworth, 82 of Independence, MO went home to be with Jesus, Friday, February 26, 2016 surrounded by family and loved ones. Peggy was born April 27, 1933. She retired from Western Electric after 25 years of employment. She leaves behind many special friends. She had a love of gospel singing and attended the yearly Brumley Gospel Singing for 42 years. She was a member of Blue Ridge Assembly of God Church. Peggy was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandma. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Pollock and Brenda Owings of the home. She leaves behind daughter in-law, Michele Hollingsworth and six grandchildren, Tiffany Hollingsworth, Jennifer Pollock, Lesley Hollingsworth, Blake Owings, Johnny Pollock (Chrystal) and Jacob Pollock and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Henry and only son, Danny Hollingsworth. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2 pm, both at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee’s Summit, MO.
