Margaret "Peggy" Pritchett Thompson, a faithful and kind-hearted soul, passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on August 8, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, Margaret lived a life full of dedication and warmth.
In her early years, Peggy resided in Leawood, Kansas, where she helped her parents in the family dry cleaning business. Her career was dedicated to serving others as a nursing aide for the elderly, a vocation that showcased her compassionate nature.
Peggy's personal interests included watching her favorite show, "Leave it to Beaver," and enjoying the simple pleasure of sitting outside in the sun. Her gentle spirit and love for the small joys in life will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Peggy expressed her gratitude to the staff at Goshen Home Care for their dedicated care over the years.
A visitation will be held on September 9, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, located at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. A private burial will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her caregivers who had the privilege of knowing her.
