Pete Gonzales

Pete Gonzales, 70 of Smithville, Missouri died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, Missouri. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 West linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the East Side Baptist Church, Mercy Meals, 19901 East 78 Highway, Independence, Missouri 64057.

Pete was born on June 29, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jesus and Bonifacia (Sotelo) Gonzales, who preceded him in death. He was an electrician for Lake City Ammunition Plant for 30 years be fore his retirement in January, 1995. Pete is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diana of the home; two sons, Peter and wife, Sharron of Independence, Missouri and Michael and wife, Linda of Kearney, Missouri; one daughter, Misty Aquirre and husband, Gilbert of Kansas city, MO; 4 grandchildren, Josh and Nicole Gonzales and Jacquelyn and Michael Aguirre; two sisters, Anita Ortega and husband, John of Kansas City, Missouri and Delores Rodriquez and husband, Gilbert of Merriam, Kansas.
