Peter P. Cabrera, 94, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Jan. 10, 2012 at the VA Hospital in KCMO. Visitation will be today from 6-8pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Funeral service Fri. at 9am at Redemptorist Church in KCMO with burial following at Blue Springs Cemetery. Peter was born in El Paso, TX on Sept. 20, 1917. He served in the Navy during WWII. He retired from Union Pacific after 34 yrs. as a diagnostic mechanic. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 yrs., Socorro; two daughters, Clara & Sonya & son, Peter. He is survived by his four daughters, Lupe Sevart, Betty Casey (Robert), Pat Holmes (Earl), & Connie Maasen (Gary); two sisters, Carmen Corona & Margaret Chavez & 60 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
