

Philip “Beaver” Garcia, 68 of Raymore, MO died Saturday, September 26, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Private family burial. Philip was born January 13, 1941 to Torivio and Elvira (Rivera) Garcia in Richmond, MO. Philip retired from Triumph/Nu-Tech Industries after more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Torivio Garcia, Sr., sisters Carmella Jauregui, Mary Elena Costillo; brothers, Torivio ‘Toby’ Garcia, Jr., Ricardo Garcia, Anthony Troy Garcia and Louis Garcia. Philip’s survivors include his mother, Elvira Garcia of Kansas City, MO; his children Annette Hitchner (Todd) of Raymore, MO, Curtis Dee Garcia (Jill) of Peculiar, MO and Jeffrey Garcia (Cyndi) of Belton, MO; sisters Carmen Williams, Roberta Garcia, Christina Valdivia, Micaela (Jose) Escareno, all of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Guadalupe Alfredo (Linda) Garcia, Kansas City, MO, Angel (Patricia) Garcia, Olathe, KS, Pedro Louis Garcia, Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, Spencer, Brandon Dee, Jeffrey, Kristin, Brooke and Paige and many nieces and nephews.
