Phillip Joseph Chiarelli, 87, Belton, MO passed away April 28, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 777 NE Blackwell Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO. Burial in Mt. Mr. Chiarelli was born March 7, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, son of Philip and Josephine (DeMarea) Chiarelli. He attended St. Therese Little Flower Grade School and DeLaSalle Military Academy. He served 30 years in the U.S. Navy followed by teaching at Electronics Institute. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia (Herman) Chiarelli, five children Phillip W. (Amy), Cathy Fairchild (Steve), Joanie Knudsen (Carlin), Joseph (Ronda) and Thomas (Tahni), thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Sharon Chiarelli, extended family and friends.
