

Phillip was born in Kansas City, MO on July 24th, 1987 to Phillip Turner, Sr. (deceased) and LaTonya M. White Turner Brooks. Phillip attended school in the Hickman Mills School District graduating from Hickman High school in 2006. Phillip attended Blue Hills Community Church of the Nazarene under the leadership of Dr. Larry C. Lott. Phillip was engaged in many activities such as, The Blue Hills Saints Basketball Team where Phillip was coached by Brother Larry Lott, III, Brother Emanuel Mahoney and Brother Editimus Ellis. Phillip also attend Caravan and Teen groups on Wednesday at the Church. Phillip held many jobs throughout his life, working in the furniture retail business as the assistant manager in many positions. His most recent job was as a Bell ringer Coordinator Manager with The Salvation Army Midwest Corps in Chicago, Illinois, where Phillip attended Church. Phillip was a people person and he loved everyone he encountered, Phillip had a special relationship with each of his uncles, aunts, and cousins. The love and the special bond that Phillip had with his three younger sisters, LeOniquia Brooks, LaTondra Brooks, and LeXaibriar Brooks was evident. Sisters and brothers will forever hold on to Phil’s memories, because life changes so quickly. Phil had a special place in his heart and love for each of the older siblings, LeOtis Brooks, Jr., Sherita Brooks, Colonie Crow, LeTresha Brooks, Earnest Turner III, and Jerry Karon Botts. The memories of the love he shared and loved every moment he spent with his nieces and nephews and the bond he shared with each of them. “If You Get A Chance To Look Down On Me, I Hope You Know That I’m Missing You” The Legacy Phillip has left behind will leave a lasting Impression on everyone for the rest of our lives. Phillip loved his family so much, a phenomenon uncle was Phillip and although Phillip had no children of his own he loved all his nieces and nephews and little cousins showering them with gifts and treats.
