Quinn Joseph Kimminau

December 11, 2016December 11, 2016

Quinn Joseph Kimminau was born December 11, 2016 and passed peacefully into the arms of his heavenly father that same evening. His parents knew him as Quinn long before he made his first appearance. Such a brief presence with such a deep impact. His life was a momentary gift to us that will always live on in the hearts and minds of his loving family.

Quinn Joseph is the son of John and Kristyn (Reardon) Kimminau of Leawood, Kansas. His paternal grandparents are David and Lavon Kimminau of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and maternal grandparents are Jay and Lynn Reardon of Leawood, Kansas. He is also survived by great grandparents Tom and Peg Sullivan of Kansas City, Missouri, Herb and Mary Lee Kimminau and Victoria Westhoff, all of Washington, Missouri. He was preceded in death by great grandparents Ed and Shirley Reardon of Kansas City, Missouri and Linus Westhoff of Washington, Missouri. Quinn is the 59th great grandchild in total.

Also left to survive are uncles and aunts Ben and Ann Kimminau, Nicole Evert, Jon and Kelly Nee, Colleen Reardon and Cari Bridget Reardon. Quinn will now also be the guardian angel to his cousins Connor and Adam Kimminau, and Will Evert.

We would like to add a heartfelt thank you to the real life angel nurses at Shawnee Mission Medical Birth Center for their compassion and sensitivity in their care for Quinn and family. They were an incredible source of comfort and will be forever appreciated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 17th.

In lieu of flowers we would be honored to have you support The Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT Sisters) P.O. Box 4116, Corpus Christi, TX 78469 or Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114. Please offer condolences at

Kristyn & John: We can't stop thinking of you both and your families at this tough time in your married life. Just know we are hurting with you and feel your sting like you are our own children. We appreciate your sweet friendships with Jordan & Lauren so very much. Yes, this is where you really understand what "for better or worse" really means. This does make you stronger and you won't sweat the small stuff. Quinn must have already been perfect....his little place in Heaven came quick....a perfect angel that you both made for the glory of God at Christmas time! As parents, you will find out, you always worry about the safety of your will never have to worry about Quinn! He's 100% in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ for his first Christmas! Love & Prayers Forever,

Ian Byrne

Please accept my deep sympathy. Know that the Father of tender mercies feel your pain and sorrow. Isaiah 61:1,2 says: "He sent me ( Jesus Christ ) to bind up the brokenhearted, . . . and to comfort all who mourn, . . . "
