Ralph Leo Papin, age 91, of Cameron, Missouri, passed on Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born on August 7, 1923, in Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to World War II, he was a civilian aerial photographer. He also worked in Alaska for the United States Engineer Dept. In World War II, Ralph was part of the 1885th Engineer Battalion and later transferred to the U. S. Air Force. He earned BA and MA degrees in Cinema at U.S.C. and worked as a motion picture producer/director for over 50 years.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Bonnie (Wood) Papin, daughter Denise Papin, and sons Christopher Papin and Leo Papin.
Ralph will be remembered for his bright spirit, kindness, and genuine enjoyment of other people.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
