Rawland Lamoy, 87, of Kansas City, MO died May 28, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at McGilley Antioch Chapel with visitation from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in East Slope Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to North Care Hospice.
Rawland was born in Northfield, VT. He served in WWII from March 1943 to January 1946. Rawland graduated from Park College in 1952, and received a Masters Degree from Central Missouri State, Warrensburg. He taught in the Park Hill School District until January 1983. During his teaching, Rawland served as the President of the Park Hill Education Association 5 times. He has been a member of St Therese Catholic Church since it started in Parkville. Rawland is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Klamm Lamoy; two daughters, Anne Lamoy and Martha Lamoy; son-in-law David-Mark Campbell.
