A private Memorial Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Haven, 9800 West 67th Street, Merriam, KS, 66203. Ray was born June 9, 1920, in Winona, Minnesota.
He was married to his wife Nada on June 26, 1946. Ray was a veteran of WWII where he served in the U.S. Army 39th Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. He served in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy and all the way to Berlin. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Ray retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel after thirty years of service. He graduated from K-State University in 1951 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and practiced for thirty years in the Kansas City area.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Nada Brugger. He is survived by his daughter Danna and her husband Mike Maloney.
