

Ray P., born August 5, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2010. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday May 14, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine. Burial in St Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday May 13, 2010 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine.
Ray was a Navy Seaman and served in the Korean War. He owned Guttering Systems Inc. until his retirement. He was known for his stylish ways, his love of jazz music, sports, and his cats (Miss Kitty and Moe). He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin S. and Florentina Perez; brother, Frank (Pancho) Perez. He is survived by his sons, Ray Anthony and Curtis Perez; brother, Louis (Leto) Perez (Jeanne); sister, Mary (Natie) Guerra; sister-in-law, Laurel Perez; 9 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephews and 4 great-great-nieces and nephews.
We were truly blessed by the joy he brought to our family. The memories of his laughter and quick wit will be greatly missed, for “He was a Jolly Good Fellow.”
