Reba Ruth Hamilton Kenley passed away on July 19, 2015. She was born in Kansas City, MO on July 24, 1934, the seventh of nine children of A.W. and Lena Hamilton. Reba attended James School and graduated from Northeast High School in 1952. After graduation she worked for SW Bell for several years and then worked as a legal secretary in Independence. Reba and her husband, Ronald, also owned Kenley’s Quilting & Fabric Shop for 21 years. She made many beautiful quilts for friends and family. She also was an expert in making counted cross stitch pictures.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald and seven siblings. Reba is survived by her sister Sharon Wentz and many nieces and nephews.
She always had a story, joke or song about any subject and will be missed by many.
There will be a private burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South and no service at Reba’s request.
