Renee L. Ritter

Renee’ L. Ritter, 48, passed away at her home in Independence, MO on January 2, 2016. Renee’ was born May 18, 1967 the daughter of Colin Miller and Linda Miller-Bechelmayr. She graduated from Marion IL High School. She attended SIU in Carbondale, IL. Renee’ served her country in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force she resided in Sterling Heights, MI. On August 20, 1994 she married Rodney Ritter. In 1995 they moved to Fort Hood, TX while Rodney was serving his country in the United States Army. In 1997 Renee’ and Rodney moved back to the Kansas City area where they could be close to family and friends. Renee’ was a member of Southview Baptist Church in Raytown, MO. She is preceded in death by her father, Colin Miller and her maternal grandfather, Leonard James. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Rodney Ritter; her mother, Linda Miller- Bechelmayr and step father, Boyd Bechelmayr; her maternal grandmother, Myrtle James; two brothers, Darin Miller and Brian Miller; one son, Christopher Ritter (DeeAnn), a granddaughter, Avery Marie Ritter. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2 pm also at the Funeral Home.
