Richard Donald Andrew, 63, of Indep., MO passed away May 19, 2012. Visitation will be May 24th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel from 6-7:30pm with a memorial service following. Richard was born to Harry and Cova Andrew on Nov. 19, 1948 in Indep., MO. He graduated from Van Horn High School & served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He retired as a production worker from Armco Steel as well as working for Sunshine Biscuit. Richard was a Corvette enthusiast as well as a fan of Monster Truck Competitions. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Earl. He is survived by his former spouses, Barbara and Shirley; his two sons, Jason (Karen) & Jeff (Kat); daughter, Julie Adams (Scott); two brothers, Paul & David and 7 grandchildren, Whitney, Noah, Natalie, Isabella, Nathan, Brooklynn & Riley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O Box 13067 Alexandria, VA 22312. I am grateful for the life of Mr. Andrew. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

i worked with richard at sunshine until he left, he was always smiling, i never saw him frown or lose temper, he was fun to be around
