Dick was born December 3, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, to LB and Laura Arbuckle and was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Raytown High School in 1946. Dick was a Navy veteran of World War II and was an eyewitness of the nuclear testings at Bikini Atoll.
He was introduced to Vivian Bettis by a family friend after he was discharged from the Navy. They were married December 31, 1947 and made their home in Southern California until 1966, when they moved their family to Lake Winnebago.
Dick was a general contractor and home builder and built many of the original homes in Lake Winnebago Dick is survived by his wife of 70 years, Vivian Arbuckle, and his children Shayne and Neil Malone and Mark and Nancy Arbuckle. He also leaves four grandchildren, Perrie and Hailey Malone and Elaine and Alex Arbuckle, two step- grandchildren, Casey Blanscet and Caitlin Shipley and one step-great grandson, Logan Shipley, many nieces and nephews and one very special dog, Daisy.
