Richard W. Burford

Richard "Rick" W. Burford, 55, of KCMO, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010, after a long battle with Cancer. Memorial service will be held Monday, December 20, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home with entombment of ashes at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Rick was born October 28, 1955, to Wayne and Nadiene Burford. He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He was a graduate of Fort Osage High School. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troop #208 of Buckner, MO, had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and also achieved the responsibility of "Fire builder" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Rick had owned and operated T. & R. Leather for over twenty five years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and drums. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Burford in September 1998 and his daughter, Teren Ann Burford, in October, 2005. Rick is survived by his wife, Teresa Burford; mother, Nadiene Burford; his sister and brother in law Sheryl and Raymond Galvin; his brother and sister in law, Doug and Diane Burford; mother in law and father in law, Dorothy and Richard Naudet; sister in law, Lesa Naudet; brother in law and sister in law, Steve and Karee Naudet and many nieces and nephews.
