I met Dick while going to CMSU. He was an upper classman (which he was for numerous years lol). He ran with Roger Rector from Higginsville who was also my good friend. He would frequently come to Higginsville with some of his friends to drink a few beers. He showed up at my home in an old chevy sedan painted with hand prints covering the entire car with a keg of beer in the back seat. I got in the back with the beer and we got about a block down the street when the local cops pulled us over because of the clown looking car we were in. Fortunately the police force was similiar to Mayberry RFD and they knew me so they let us go with just be careful boys etc. I enjoyed Dick, he was always cheerful with a grin on his face. We spent many tiimes together throughout the years. I know he will be missed by many. He was one of a kind.
