Richard “Rick” Ising, 60, passed away Sept. 8, 2017. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO with the rosary recitation at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12 at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made to Kansas City Hospice.
Rick was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a bartender for many years, most recently at Jasper’s Restaurant and was the former owner of Rick’s Farside Bar and Grill. Rick was an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking for his family on Sundays.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Jack and Connie Ising. Survivors include his siblings, John Ising, (Paula); Debbie Borgman, (John); Tom Ising, (Renee); Gary Ising; Theresa Rellihan, (John); Lisa Wilkins, (Roger); Chris Ising, (Erin) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless friends.
