Richard E. Woodside, 79, Clinton, MO, passed March 19, 2019 at KU Med from cancer. Visitation is 2-5 PM Sunday, March 24th at McGilley Antioch Chapel; contributions to Missouri State Conservation Society.
Richard was born May 2, 1939 to Norman Earl and Vivion Irene (Britton) Woodside in Linn County, MO. He graduated from Browning Missouri High School. Richard worked for 46 years St. Regis Paper Company and retired in 2006. He enjoyed bowling, softball, bicycling, archery, fishing, boating and hunting. Richard was a big sports fan especially of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR Racing. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Raymore, MO.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Pat Woodside; children, Tina and husband Tim Pike of Smithville, MO, Kim and Paul DeGeorge of Kansas City, MO, Rebecca and Sam Hoskin of Grand Lake, OK, Kelly Rose and Jonathan Schneider of Lansing, KS; 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with "one on the way"; siblings, Carol and Paul Stroud of Marceline, MO, Linda King and John Morris of Brookfield, MO, Norma Lee and Bryan Phillips of Brookfield, MO, Rick and Tiffany Woodside of Gravois Mills, MO.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin McElvoy; and a grandson, C. Samuel Montgomery.
